“Crustless” Pizza? Say it isn’t so!

Not only is it so, its delicious AND gluten-free! Here’s an amazing pizza that uses Portobello mushrooms in place of the traditional pizza crust – brilliant!

Portobello Pizza

Ingredients:

2 Fresh Portobello Mushrooms
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 Cup Marinara Sauce (see below)
1 Roasted Red Bell Pepper
1 Cup Shredded Cheese (Mozzarella or Goat Cheese are nice)
2 Tablespoons chopped fresh basil

2 OZ ground turkey, or bacon bits, etc. if you need a little meat

For the Marinara Sauce:

1 Can crushed tomatoes
1 Small Can Tomato Paste
1 Garlic Clove
1 Teaspoon Olive Oil
1 Sm. Onion
1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning

Directions:

Heat Oven to 350 degrees F.
